Daft Punk, “Random Access Memories” (Yazid Le Voyageur Edit)

One brief sample was enough for up-and-coming French touch producer Yazid Le Voyageur to create a whole track. It’s a trifle, to be sure, but we still found it to be quite fun.

Yazid le Voyageur, “Love At First Sight”

No points for guessing the sample or immediately wigging out and doing the French Touch dance in your cubicle.

My NamE, “My Everything”

From the new compilation from Disco Future Records comes a lead-off track that effectively serves as a statement on the label: just enough French touch and retro to hook anyone but with a distinctly modern house and nudisco sound.

Boys Get Hurt, “Ya One Girl”

Some nice chops on the vocals for this track and that bouncy bassline is really, really hard to deny. There’s a surprising amount of melody packed in there, too. Good work, Tokyo-based producers Yuki and Takumi!

Yazid le Voyageur, “Baby”

The insanely productive French touch producer Yazid Le Voyageur has put out nearly a dozen records in the last month and here’s the annoying thing: they’re all pretty good! This one, from over two weeks go, may seem like old hat to him, but we’re quite taken with it, especially the second half when it turns into an entirely different track using the same sounds.

Yazid Le Voyageur, “Get To Know Me”

Yazid Le Voyageur contacted us through the Official Disco Potential Page On Facebook™ and asked us to give his work a listen. We’re glad we did; French touch based around big, hooky disco samples is a pretty perfect thing in our estimation.

Chilly Gonzales, “You Can Dance” (Le Nonsense Poolside Remix)

The track that will never die gets a French Touch reworking and you can finally mix it between your Daft Punk and Bob Sinclair tracks.

DJ Las K, “Darlène (Le Nonsense Remix)”

I thought you needed a little French house. You did, didn’t you?

Napoleon IIIrd, “The Unknown Unknown” (L’Étranger Remix)

This thing stomps! Like Godzilla! Your ears are Japan!

Chris Malinchak, “There I Was”

Wait for the bass. Just wait for it. Then flip out like I did.
