After Dark 2, the sequel to the seminal Italians Do It Better sleazewave compilation, is now available in the iTunes store, featuring 14 tracks from Disco Potential-approved artists like Glass Candy, Chromatics, Appaloosa (and more) for just $10. This would be the very definition of a no-brainer.
Buy from iTunes.
Clubfeet, “Cape Town”
The third single from Clubfeet’s sophomore release Heirs & Graces (which isn’t available in the States yet) features the longing vocals and pop melodies they’ve become known for, underpinned by an energetic-but-not-frenetic beat that builds to a last-third-of-the-track bounce that left us grinning.
Pet Shop Boys, “Axis”

The first single from the forthcoming Electric is a slab of high-NRG madness for the duo, recalling the more rave-oriented material from Relentless and their remixes for Madonna and Yoko Ono while bringing them up to date for modern dancefloors. Judging by this first glimpse, the duo’s decision to produce an album with Stuart Price was a very smart thing.
Kisses, “Huddle”
The first track we’ve heard from the forthcoming Kids In L.A. pretty much means that we’re preordering the album, as we’re suckers for that California yacht-rock-meets-slow-disco sound. You can do the same through iTunes.
(There’s also “Air Conditioning” and that’s really good, too.)
Annie, “Tube Stops and Lonely Hearts”
Directed by White Tiger Amateurs
Annie gives 90s rave culture a big, wet kiss with this track that she conceived with Xenomania and brought to Ville Haimala for a final polish. We’re not sure if this is just the radio edit or the full version of the track, but it feels a bit disjointed to us, as if the verses and chorus aren’t given enough time to ebb and flow away from each otehr. Still, it’s a bew track by Annie and is thus worth celebrating.
